  1. shSpeaker is a simple, but 
  2.             handy, little ActiveX control that allows you to access the PC 
  3.             Speaker from within Visual Basic. Because of the variety of computer 
  4.             hardware configurations currently on the market, Microsoft has 
  5.             chosen not to support any use of the PC speaker from VB. This can be 
  6.             annoying if you are working on a project that really could use a 
  7.             little PC speaker beep now and then.
